TITLE I UPCOMING FAMILY EVENTS

Wednesday, November 19, 2019- Senior FAFSA Night

Marcus Hilliard, a college financial aid expert and our rep from the GA Student Finance Commission, will facilitate a FAFSA Workshop at NMHS.  Seniors and a parent/guardian (particularly, whoever claims the student as a dependent) are invited to stop by the Media Center between 6 and 8 PM for live, in-person assistance with the FAFSA.  The FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and is a key to federal and state college financial aid.  Students/parents may visit tinyurl.com/yyvmtbk3 to learn what records/info to have on hand for FAFSA completion.

Thursday, November 07 – Senior Parent Night

NMHS Counselors will host a senior info session about what colleges are looking for, an overview of the college application process, and scholarship search resources.  Special guest Marcus Hilliard from the GA Student Finance Commission (the state agency that administers HOPE Scholarship) will talk about the different types of college financial aid, eligibility, and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
